Reinsurance in Asia : Never-ending story of risks

We explore the three areas of risks identified in Asia by experts and regulators: CAT, longevity and macroeconomic risks. For CAT risks, their frequency and unpredictability certainly did not let up, as the second half opens with disastrous flooding in China and the Philippines. For longevity risks, there is a need for individuals and the private sector to help. As for the third risk, the rising interconnectivity of economic activities calls for a sound and integrated enterprise risk management.
