South Korea:Samsung Life seen at centre of group restructuring

Samsung Group, the biggest family-owned business empire in South Korea, is undergoing restructuring that is being stepped up following the hospitalisation of patriarch Mr Lee Kun-hee, 72, who underwent cardiac surgery following a heart attack in May. The restructuring could involve turning Samsung Life, the country's biggest life insurer, into a financial holding company.
