Eleven winners from seven markets crowned at 3rd Asia Trusted Life Agents & Advisers Awards

| 08 May 2018

Eleven winners were honoured at the 3rd Asia Trusted Life Agents & Advisers Awards presentation ceremony dinner held in Manila last evening with the Philippines' insurance commissioner Dennis B Funa as guest of honour.

The awards offer a neutral platform to recognise the best in life insurance agency and advisory across Asia. A truly regional platform, winners emerged from seven markets: Hong Kong, India, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan and Vietnam.

Leading life insurance companies were also represented with winners coming from AIA, AXA Insurance, Cathay Life Insurance, Great Eastern Life Assurance, Manulife, Philam Life, Prudential Assurance, TATA AIA Life Insurance and Sun Life Financial.

These deserving winners edged out some 400 contenders from 50 companies in a rigorous and transparent two-stage judging process audited by EY. In the first round, remote judging was conducted to select the finalists. In the second round, judges came together to discuss the finalists face-to-face and to arrive at the winners through a secret ballot.

Asia Insurance Review editor-in-chief Sivam Subramaniam said, “The crop of entries we received this year was impressive. We salute all entrants for their courage in taking part to tell their story. We urge the winners to celebrate their victories not just for themselves but for the whole industry.”

The awards enjoy the patronage of HSBC Holdings group chairman Mark Tucker. It is organised by Asia Insurance Review and Asia Advisers Network, with co-organiser LIMRA and strategic partner AIA.

Supporting organisations include: Association of International Life Offices (AILO), The Hong Kong Federation of Insurers (HKFI), Philippine Life Insurance Association (PLIA), Financial Services Managers’ Association (FSMA) Singapore, Insurance Association of Sri Lanka (IASL), Life Underwriters Association of Hong Kong (LUAHK), International Insurance Society (IIS), Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) and Singapore Insurance Institute (SII).
