The last few years have seen reinsurers trying to get closer to the original risk through setting up their own primary carriers or via managing general agencies (MGA). And now the option of working with InsurTechs to access primary risk is an "exciting proposition" for reinsurers, said Munich Re CEO Dr Joachim Wenning.
