Mrs Ritu Nanda, one of India's legendary insurance agents, passed away on the 13th of January after a long battle with cancer.
Daughter of yesteryear film icon Raj Kapoor, she was a multi-faceted personality, who was married into one of India’s top industrial families but did not give up on her dream of becoming an insurance agent.
As an adviser of Life Insurance Corporation of India, India’s largest life insurance company, she was the recipient of the ‘Best Insurance Advisor of the Decade’ award.
She had entered the Guinness Book of World Records for selling 17,000 pension policies in a single day.
She was the Chairwoman and CEO of Ritu Nanda Insurance Services and managed companies including Escolife and Rimari Corporate Art Services.
