A climate-risk insurance pilot scheme launched in Bangladesh last year by the World Food Programme (WFP), Oxfam Bangladesh and Weather Risk Management Services in cooperation with Green Delta insurance will be a great boon to poorer communities when rolled across Bangladesh who face disruption in their lives and livelihoods from floods every year.
