Singapore:Reinsurers' association announces exec committee lineup

The Singapore Reinsurers' Association (SRA) has announced the line-up of its Executive Committee (EXCO) for the 2017-2018 term of office with Mr Marc Haushofer, CEO, Asia Pacific & Executive Vice President of Validus Reinsurance Company, re-elected as SRA Chairman at its Executive Committee meeting last Friday.

Mr Haushofer said: “I thank my colleagues on the EXCO for their strong endorsement to continue to lead the Association through this challenging period. With their support and commitment, I believe we will be able to achieve more for the Association and our industry.

The SRA also announced the appointment of Mr Kenrick Law, Regional CEO & Head P&C Client Management of Allianz SE Reinsurance Branch Asia-Pacific, as Deputy Chairman.

Established in 1979, the key objectives of the SRA are to represent members in matters affecting their business interests; to facilitate dialogue and encourage healthy market competition; to promote professional excellence through education and training and to foster strong social bonds within the industry and beyond.

As at 31 May 2017, the SRA has a total membership of 53, comprising 32 Ordinary, 17 Associate, two Affiliate and two Honorary members. All major non-life reinsurance companies with a presence in Singapore as well as some other regional reinsurers are members of the SRA.
