China Pacific Property Insurance, a subsidiary of the insurance giant China Pacific Insurance (Group), is offering a package of insurance solutions worth CNY35bn ($5bn) for a mega international trade event in Shanghai next month.
As the only insurer offering property and casualty services for the six-day China International Import Expo (CIIE), China Pacific has launched a series of tailor-made services including a special fund of CNY100m for insurance claims settlement and a special hotline which will provide 24 hours bilingual services the whole week, according to a report on the digital news site, shine.cn.
To help the exhibitors and purchasers better cope with new types of risks, China Pacific is rolling out new policies to cover areas such as intellectual property right infringement, Internet security and customs tariff guarantees. The policies will also cover terrorism, food safety issues as well as pollution.
Expo participants can buy insurance policies on the official website of CIIE or a dedicated application developed for the event by China Pacific.
More than 2,800 enterprises from 81 countries will attend the six-day event starting from November 5.
