Higher retirement age expected to hit employment & income streams of women

China's plans to gradually raise the official retirement age to 65 or more over the next few decades may significantly impact the labour supply and lifetime earnings of young women, in particular better-educated, urban females with younger children, according to a study by Chinese economists at Dongbei University and the Norwegian central bank.
