"Mind share" is more important that market share

When marketing to millennials in this digital era, "mind share" is becoming more important than market share.

Mind share refers to how influential your brand is “in the minds and in the hearts of consumers”, which is a reflection of consumers’ loyalty, said Mr Joel Makhluf, VP for Enservio.

While market share in terms of size and growth of business is important, continued success has less to do with these traditional measures moving forward. That is to say, market share is where you are right now, and mind share is where you will be in the future.

The focus on market share should not eclipse the need to become a visible personality in consumers’ world.
