Taiwan Households Spending Less In 2003

Average household spending showed a dip in 2003 to NT$666,000 (US$19,655), posting a 0.9% drop over 2002's figures. Of this amount, the Directorate General of Budget, Accounting and Statistics revealed that national health insurance payments and medical care took up NT$85,000 (US$2,609), which increased 2.5% over 2002.
