Algeria:Insurers lose US$1.25 bln annually to traffic accidents

Algerian insurers report losses totalling US$1.25 billion annually due to traffic accidents, with goods and passenger vehicles being the category involved in most road mishaps despite the fact that such vehicles form less than 10% of the 5.2 million vehicles which ply the roads of Algeria.
