Australia:Insurers want state-run insurance to be liberalised

Australia's largest insurance companies are pushing for the privatisation of state-run workers compensation and compulsory third party (CTP) insurance regimes. The market has been estimated to be worth A$15 billion (US$14 million) in gross written premiums.
