Global:Scope for insurers to grow long-term care market

Australians can in general afford 56 months of nursing home care, the most after Italy, according to a Swiss Re sigma study which examines long-term care (LTC) challenges in 12 countries around the world. People in Japan can afford 27 months (ranked 7th); while those in China can afford six months which is the same length of time as Americans (ranked joint 10th). The Mexicans bring up the rear as they can afford only five months of nursing home care.
