Still a star attraction in Asia

Indonesia continues to be regarded still as one of the most attractive insurance markets in the region, given its low insurance penetration, a large but relatively young population and fast economic growth. And the insurance sector is thriving with good growths in life and general insurance. There are many reasons for optimism – the government is increasing insurance awareness and the long-term growth driver in the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC). But they come with many challenges too – increasing CAT losses, shifting demographics and consumer behaviour amongst others.
