Socially engineered cyber crime now covered by specialist underwriter


With the rapid rise of social engineering attacks, there has been a demand for additional protection from brokers and their clients. Social engineering exploits people who are deceived into divulging sensitive information, transferring money to hackers' accounts or even providing access to corporate IT systems. To fill in the protection gaps, Australian cyber insurance specialist Emergence has introduced new covers for socially engineered thefts and cryptojacking under its new optional section called 'Criminal Financial Loss'.
