Australia:Life insurance sector posts after-tax profit of over US$700m in 12 months to 31 Mar

The life insurance industry in Australia posted a net profit after tax for the industry was A$1.0bn ($716m) for the year ended 31 March 2022, driven by a stable result in premium revenue, with falls in investment revenue offset by a 25% decrease in total expenses, says the Australian Prudential Regulation Authority (APRA).
