Cost of raising a child in China exceeds US$76,000 or 7 times GDP per capita

The average cost of raising a child from birth until the age of 18 was CNY485,000 yuan ($76,700) in China in 2019, much higher than in many other countries including the US, France, Germany and Japan, according to a new report.
