Global insurance giant reports diabetes crisis in Asia


With Asian countries now accounting for more than 60% of diabetes cases worldwide, a new report from Sun Life Financial Asia calls for a community-based approach to manage the rising tide of diabetes in Asia. The report entitled, 'Diabetes in Asia: Empowering communities to lead healthier lives' seeks to highlight the importance of engaging communities in Hong Kong, the Philippines, Indonesia, Vietnam and Malaysia, to counter diabetes.
