The number of critical illness insurance claims lodged by women was about twice that of men in 2018, according to China's first "Female Health and Risk Management" white paper, jointly released by the life insurance joint venture Manulife-Sinochem and its strategic partner, the think tank Fudan Development Institute (FDDI).
