Australia:Govt seeks to plug regulatory gap in insurance claims handling

The Australian Treasury has proposed a two-pronged approach to making claims handling subject to laws requiring financial services to be delivered efficiently, honestly and fairly, and subject to oversight by the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC).
