Japan:Public health insurance might exclude coverage of certain hay fever drugs


Japan's National Federation of Health Insurance Societies has proposed that hay fever prescription drugs containing the same content as their non-prescription counterparts should be excluded from public medical insurance coverage in order to reduce costs, reported The Japan Times citing a proposal presented by the federation at a meeting of the Central Social Insurance Medical Council, which advises the health minister.
