Malaysia:COVID-19 will not weaken insurers' earnings

The COVID-19 outbreak is unlikely to have a negative impact on insurance earnings in Malaysia as the infection level remains low at 99 confirmed cases as of 9 March. Analysts believe that the domestic insurance sector's earnings will remain stable, with a potential opportunity for growth through new uptake of healthcare policies, reported The Malaysian Reserve.
