Health insurance premiums generated from online channels rose to CNY37.48bn ($5.76bn) in 2020, representing an increase of 35 times from CNY1.03bn in 2015, driven by demand from a younger customer base, born in the 1980s and 1990s and savvy in the use of the Internet.
