New Zealand:Tornado costs record insured losses of US$22m

The tornado that tore through the South Auckland suburb of Papatoetoe on 19 June 2021 caused insured losses of NZ$32m ($22.4m), which represent a record, according to preliminary figures released by the Insurance Council of New Zealand (ICNZ).
