Onshore reinsurers were tougher in the mainland Chinese market during the 1 January renewal season than in previous years, says the "1st View January reinsurance renewals" report released by Gallagher Re, a global reinsurance broker. The reinsurers were more disciplined in providing lead terms, even with package offers.
