Japan:Dai-ichi Life's stable profitability a factor in credit rating upgrade

Fitch Ratings has upgraded Dai-ichi Life Insurance's Insurer Financial Strength (IFS) Rating to 'AA-' (Very Strong), from 'A+' (Strong), and its Long-Term Issuer Default Rating (IDR) to 'A+', from 'A'. The outlook is 'Stable'. The agency has also upgraded the company's US dollar-denominated subordinated notes to 'A', from 'A-'.
