Thailand:Licences of 2 insurers revoked under COVID-19 claims burden

The Finance Minister has revoked the business licences of two insurers -- Southeast Insurance and Thai Insurance -- after they failed to honour COVID-19-related claims of more than THB18bn ($538m) from customers, the Office of Insurance Commission (OIC) secretary-general, Dr Suttipol Taweechaikarn, said last Friday.
