Australia:Net profits of general insurers could have been higher but for Nat CAT and investment losses

For the year ended 31 March 2022, the general insurance industry in Australia reported a net profit after tax of A$1.3bn ($920m) and a return on net assets of 4.3%, an increase from the results of the 12 months to March 2021, according to statistics released by the Australian Prudential Regulation Authority (APRA).
