The Malaysian insurance industry, despite the challenges brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic, has, by and large, remained resilient, adapting to new market conditions and continuing to meet the needs of customers, according to Ms Loh Guat Lan in her President's Message in the 2022 report of the Life Insurance Association of Malaysia (LIAM).
