Total non-life premiums in Cambodia surged by 16.4% to about US$61.6 million last year, from $53 million in 2014, the Insurance Association of Cambodia said.
Property and fire premiums increased the fastest at 35.1%; followed by vehicle insurance, up 14.5%; medical insurance, up 26% and personal accident insurance, up 18.8% from 2014, reported the Khmer Times.
Property and fire insurance accounted for 39.7% of total premiums last year, followed by vehicle insurance at 15.1%, medical at 14.1%, personal accident at 6.8%, engineering at 5.8%, and marine, aviation and transport at 4%.
