China:Cabinet allows insurers to set their own interest rates

China's State Council has approved plans to let insurers set interest rates on their insurance products, and CIRC is working out the details to effect this. Authorities will allow insurers to set prices first for traditional insurance products such as health, life and pension products, says Shanghai Securities News.
