Australia:Bushfire insurance claims now US$29 mln, and rising

Insurers in Australia have so far received A$30 million (US$29 million) worth of claims from what are described as the most devastating bushfires in New South Wales (NSW) in 10 years. They expect the figure to increase sharply over the coming days and insured losses could eventually exceed A$80 million.
