Indonesia:Regulator looks to expand local reinsurance capacity

Indonesia's insurance supervisor is seeking to optimise local capacity through the establishment of a new reinsurance company with foreign participation as well as the merger of several local players into a unified reinsurer, revealed Mr Firdaus Djaelani, Chief Executive Supervisor (Non-Banking Financial Institutions) of the Financial Services Authority (OJK) at the 19th Indonesia Rendezvous in Bali yesterday.
