India:GIC Re may suffer US$12-mln loss for missing MAS aircraft

General Insurance Corporation (GIC Re), India's sole reinsurance company, expects a INR750-million (US$12.3 million) claim from Malaysian Airlines (MAS) for the Boeing 777 which disappeared between Malaysia and China last week with 239 passengers on board.
