The China Insurance Regulatory Commission (CIRC) has issued draft guidelines for trials on providing insurance for major high-cost technical equipment. The project is likely to entail co-insurance or insurance syndicates given the multi-million-dollar assets involved such as nuclear plant equipment. The trials are to be overseen by CIRC jointly with the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.
