New Zealand:Rating agencies should assess insurers-ex-RBNZ head

Former Reserve Bank (RBNZ) Governor Don Brash has warned that the central bank is "taking on too much responsibility" regulating insurers and banks, describing the current system as "nuts". He maintained that rating agencies were better equipped to make calls on insurers' solvency.
