India's National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) recently called a meeting to discuss the formulation of a National Landslide Risk Management Strategy - the first meeting of the task force of landslide experts created for it, reported the Financial Express. Landslides affect about 15% of India's landmass and at least 22 states and Union Territories.
