Cognitive health is a medical trait that employers must monitor

The brain is undoubtedly the most important organ of the body and diseases such as depression, anxiety and Alzheimer's are directly related to the brain's cognitive functions. While doctors and employers have been attempting to improve their employees' physical health, the discussion on mental health is a recent one. "I am going to say something pretty controversial: there is just health. Your brain is a physical part of your body," said CEO and founder of Savonix, Dr Mylea Charvat. "Things like depression and anxiety are disorders of the brain and they have a physical effect."
