The Thai insurance regulator Office of the Insurance Commissioner (OIC) recently organised the third edition of the super curriculum course for budding insurance leaders for the country's insurance industry.
The course covered the latest and the most important global issues including emerging risks, climate change, pandemics, international conflicts, as well as advances in insurance technology (InsurTech) and risk management innovations.
The press release issued by the OIC said the 67 participants who completed the programme are super CEO leaders from various sectors. Agriculture and technology, tourism, real estate, mass communication, insurance and financial sector. Participants were exposed to digital technology, insurance innovation, ESG, business adaptation, and related laws, as well as study and field trips both domestically and internationally.
They also carried out various field activities in Chiang Mai province under the concept of "Innovation" "Explore & Present Chiang Mai's Economic Future" by actually visiting the economy district such as Kad Luang and Wat Ton Kwan to analyse opportunities to develop soft power, create TikTok Content, and convey policy perspectives. In addition, the participants also dwelt upon the topic of "Development of an Agentic AI Prototype to provide knowledge about insurance policies through the OIC Connect System", which is a project of the OIC Office.
