ANZ:Ms Christine McLoughlin decides to retire from Suncorp's Board

Ms Christine McLoughlin has decided to retire from the Suncorp Board, effective 25 September 2025. Mr Duncan West, currently a non-executive director, has been elected as her successor. Mr West will assume his new position as chairman on Ms McLoughlin's retirement.

Ms McLoughlin served on the Suncorp Board for 10 years, including seven years as chairman.

Mr West has been on the Board for almost four years, since 2021, and is the chair of the Risk Committee and a member of the Audit Committee. He has deep industry, governance and board expertise with more than 40 years of experience.

Mr West is also on the boards of various companies, including as chairman of Challenger. Previously, he was chairman and a director of The Hollard Insurance Company, Lawcover Insurance and Habitat for Humanity Australia.

Mr West’s previous executive roles include CEO of Vero Insurance, CEO of CGU Insurance and executive general manager of insurance for NAB Wealth and MLC. He also previously worked with Royal Sun Alliance and is a past president of the Australia and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance.
