Taiwan:Regulator releases sales statistics of foreign-currency denominated products by life insurance industry

The Financial Supervisory Commission of the Republic of China (Taiwan), the Taiwanese insurance regulator, has released the sales statistics of foreign-currency denominated products by life insurance industry as of end June 2025.

The statistics are:

  • Premium revenues from new foreign-currency denominated policies amounted to around NT$200.6bn ($6.6bn), up 35% from NT$148.327bn year-on-year.
  • Within these figures, investment-linked insurance products accounted for NT$27.5bn, around 14% of the total, a 30% increase from NT$21.2bn year-on-year.
  • Sales of traditional insurance products totalled NT$173.1bn, around 86% of the total, which rose 36% from NT$127.1bn year-on-year.
