Thai CAT fund sells US$470 mln in policies in 10 months

The National Catastrophe Insurance Fund has sold 3,745 policies worth over THB14 billion (US$470.7 million) between 28 March 2012 and 7 January 2013 in the wake of the great flood of 2011. The policies, available to companies in the industrial sector, offer cover in the event of floods, storms and earthquakes.
