Cambodia's insurance regulator, the Insurance Regulator of Cambodia (IRC), organised 'Cambodia Insurance Day 2025' at Battambang Province earlier this month. The event was held in cooperation with the Insurance Association of Cambodia, the Insurance Broker Association of Cambodia and other insurance institutions.
Provincial administration, relevant governmental organisations, development partners, the chamber of commerce, higher education institutions, business associations were part of the turnout.
According to the IRC, Insurance Day was organised with three primary objectives, namely:
- Raising knowledge and fostering the dissemination of insurance services to the public,
- Demonstrating the efforts of the government in promoting financial products’ diversification in the financial sector as outlined in the Pentagonal Strategy Phase I, Seventh Legislature of the Royal Government, and
- Informing the public about the pivotal role of the insurance sector in contributing to building a social safety net and promoting national economic growth.
