Australia: ANZIIF launches trans-Tasman Women in Insurance roadshow

An eight-city roundtable series on gender diversity in insurance has been announced by the Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance (ANZIIF) in response to calls in the 2014 Women in Insurance survey.
Titled “Connecting Women. Creating Leaders.”, the autumn roadshow will present the survey results and engage insurance professionals on topics including women in leadership and career progression.
“The 2014 Women in Insurance survey indicated that women are not only eager to improve gender diversity, particularly at the top levels of the industry, but that they want to have a voice on matters that affect them. This series will present the data from the survey, discuss key topics and give insurance professionals an opportunity to connect and engage with each other,” said Ms Meg Hurley, the event emcee and General Manager, Marketing & Insights at ANZIIF.
Connecting Women. Creating Leaders. is a cornerstone event for the ANZIIF Women’s Council, an industry-led committee that commissioned the survey and works to raise awareness of issues affecting women in the industry.
The Women in Insurance Roundtable series will run in Australia (Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth) from 4-19 March and New Zealand (Auckland, Christchurch and Wellington) from 14-16 April.
