Asia: 28th EAIC set for 11-15 Oct 2016 in Macau

Source: Asia Insurance Review | Nov 2015

Mark your calendar! The 28th East Asian Insurance Congress will be held in Macau from 11 to 15 October next year.

The theme – “The Future of Insurance – Customer Centricity” – was specially selected as the healthy development of the industry depends largely on whether the industry is able to anticipate what customer needs will be.

Mr Chris Ma, Chairman, Organising Committee, 28th EAIC, said: “We will have a full programme to help us gain a better insight into who our customers are, how we can serve them better, what role technology plays, what impact the ageing population may have, and what the ultimate operating model is in an ever-changing market place.”

Every two years, the EAIC offers excellent opportunities for delegates to meet up with one another to share their views on how the industry can be made better.

The 27th EAIC in Taipei attracted about 1,500 delegates. Lloyd’s Chief Executive Inga Beale had said in her keynote address then that insurers have an opportunity to create Asia’s “golden age of insurance” by helping its economies and businesses become more resilient to shocks as the world’s economic gravity shifts toward this region.

Macau in 2016 again offers the perfect place for the meeting of great minds and exchange of ideas. Expect to be inspired by a host of world-class practitioners and speakers. See you in Macau!
