Asia: Chubb’s new P&C management to be effective 1Q2016
Mr Paul McNamee from ACE will lead the future commercial P&C team for the new Chubb Group in Asia Pacific. His team’s appointments will be effective upon completion of the acquisition of Chubb, which is expected in the first quarter of 2016. The leaders reporting to Mr McNamee 
will include:
Mr Roy Amos, Head of Surety;
Mr Kane Bennett, Head of Environmental Liability;
Mr Ben Carey, Head of Broker Distribution and Client
Management, Asia;
Mr Adam Clifford, Head of Casualty;
Mr Greg Dodds, Head of Strategic Alliances & Carrier Partner Distribution, Asia Pacific;
Mr Michael Frazer, Head of Energy and Technical Lines;
Ms Cassandra Ho, Head of Ceded Reinsurance;
Mr Jason Keen, Head of Property with responsibility for all general Property and Terrorism business;
Mr Neil Moon, Chief Underwriting Officer, Property & Casualty, Asia Pacific; 
Mr Anthony O’Brien, Head of Marine including all Cargo, Hull and Marine Liability business;
Mr Kevin Stevens, Head of Custom Products including the specialty Life Sciences, Technology, Entertainment and Clean Tech products; and
Mr Stanley Wong, Head of Professional Lines.
 
   Meanwhile, Mr Jason Howard will serve as Chief Underwriting Officer for Professional Lines with primary responsibility for managing Chubb’s extensive Directors & Officers and Financial Institutions Portfolio. He will report to Mr Wong.
 
 
Asia: Crawford appoints new CEO
Phillip Fong
Crawford & Company has appointed Mr Phillip Fong as CEO, Asia. He will report to Mr Andrew Bart, CEO – Asia Pacific, and also retains his responsibility as country manager of Crawford Singapore. Mr Fong is also an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute, and of the Malaysian Insurance Institute; he is also a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Loss Adjusters.
 
 
Asia: Senior execs join Manulife’s regional team
Ms Lucy Taylor-Smith has joined Manulife Asia as Chief Strategy Officer, while Mr Peter Chung has been appointed Chief Partnership officer.

   Ms Taylor-Smith will also be responsible for corporate business development and will jointly oversee the investor relations function in Asia with Mr Philip Witherington, CFO.
 
   Mr Chung, formerly Head of Corporate Development and Strategy for Manulife in Asia, will be responsible for developing the company’s partnership business, covering bancassurance (excluding DBS), independent and direct distribution across 12 markets in the region.
 
 
Asia: Munich Re has new head for HNW business
Colin Ryan
Mr Colin Ryan has been appointed Munich Re’s Head of High Net Worth (HNW) business in Asia. Based in Singapore, he will be responsible for providing advice and delivering solutions on strategic and operational matters to clients in relation to their HNW insurance business.
 
 
Lombard International appoints Asia CEO
Tammy Lu Tsui
Lombard International has appointed Ms Tammy Lu Tsui as its CEO for Asia and has also announced its intent to open two new brokerage offices in Asia. Subject to the necessary regulatory approvals, the new subsidiaries are to be named Lombard International Hong Kong Ltd and Lombard International Singapore Pte Ltd.
 
 
ANZ: Zurich announces CEO for general insurance
Rajbir Singh Nanra
Zurich has named Mr Rajbir Singh Nanra as CEO, General Insurance, Australia and New Zealand. He will report to Mr Stuart A Spencer, CEO of General Insurance, Asia Pacific as well as the board of Zurich Australian Insurance Limited. Mr Nanra’s appointment follows four months as interim CEO.
 
 
Asia: SCOR Global Life announces several leadership moves
Ms Fouzia Boussetta, Ms Janice Cowley, Ms Na Jia, Mr Tony Ho & Ms Subha Neelakantan
Ms Fouzia Boussetta has been promoted to Regional Chief Risk Officer Asia Pacific, SCOR Global Life, while Ms Janice Cowley has been appointed Chief Strategy and Marketing Officer Asia Pacific. Ms Na Jia has been appointed Head of Global Distribution Solutions/Remark Asia Pacific.
 
   Additionally, Mr Tony Ho has been appointed Managing Director, Financial Solutions Asia Pacific, while Mr Louis Heng has been appointed Head of Southeast Asia. In South Asia, Ms Subha Neelakantan has joined SCOR Global Life India as Head of Life business, based in Mumbai. 
 
 
Australia: Clyde & Co boosts specialist insurance team
Mr David Amentas, Ms Michelle Dunne & Mr Christopher Smith
Clyde & Co has added five partners from Lee & Lyons to its partnership. Partners David Lee, Lucinda Lyons, David Amentas, Michelle Dunne and Christopher Smith will join the firm this month, based in Sydney.
 
 
China: Ironshore establishes Pembroke Managing Agency
Tracy Ma
Ms Tracy Ma has been appointed Underwriting Manager for Pembroke Managing Agency, which will establish a Shanghai office this month as part of the Lloyd’s China platform. She will report to Ms Hui Yun Boo, Managing Director of Ironshore’s Asia Pacific region.
 
 
Hong Kong: FPI names new Managing Director
Charles Barrows
Mr Charles Barrows has been appointed Managing Director of FPI Hong Kong. He succeeds Mr James Tan who has decided to leave FPI to pursue other interests. Mr Barrows will report to FPI CEO Adrian Emery.
 
 
Malaysia: NexAssure hires new operations director
Brian Ong
Mr Brian Ong has joined third-party administrator NexAssure Management as Operations Director, based in Kuala Lumpur. He will be responsible for overseeing the firm’s operations and developing new business around the region.
 
 
Singapore: AIA names new Chief Life Officer
Ms Melita Teo
Ms Melita Teo has been appointed Chief Life Officer of AIA Singapore and will oversee the operations division of the company. She was formerly Chief Corporate Solutions Officer.
 
Alvin Fu
   Meanwhile, Mr Alvin Fu, formerly Deputy Head of Corporate Solutions, will take over from Ms Teo as Chief Corporate Solutions Officer.
 
 
Thailand: Tilleke & Gibbins Promotes New Partners in Insurance and IP
Aaron Le Marquer
Tilleke & Gibbins has promoted Mr Aaron Le Marquer and Mr Suebsiri Taweepon to the firm’s partnership. Mr Le Marquer advises insurers and reinsurers in complex coverage matters and has particular expertise in multijurisdictional reinsurance disputes, while Mr Taweepon is an intellectual property lawyer whose practice focuses on litigation, licensing, and registration of IP rights.

Global: Verisk names new President for AIR Worldwide
Bill Churney
Verisk Analytics has appointed Mr Bill Churney as President of its AIR Worldwide business. He succeeds Mr Ming Lee who retired last month and will continue at AIR until June 2016 in a nonexecutive role. 
 
 
Global: Bellwood Prestbury boosts security expertise
Steve McCann
Specialist global insurance and iPMI intermediary Bellwood Prestbury has hired Mr Steve McCann as the company’s Security Specialist. Mr McCann brings more than 21 years of practical security industry experience across the humanitarian & development sectors.
 
 
Joint MDs to lead BPL Global
James Esdaile
Mr James Esdaile and Ms Sian Aspinall have been appointed Joint Managing Directors of specialist credit and political risk insurance broker BPL Global with effect from 1 January 2016. They succeed Mr Robin Harper, who continues as a director of the company after 20 years as Managing Director.

   Meanwhile, Mr Tim Cullis also joins BPL Global as Chief Financial Officer. He was previously CFO and CRO of Amlin Investment Management Ltd.
 
 
Global: Chartered Insurance Institute appoints new CEO
Sian Fisher
Ms Sian Fisher has been appointed as CEO of the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII). She succeeds Dr Sandy Scott, who announced his retirement in March last year. She will take up her new post this month.
 
 
Global: RIMS names 2016 President
Julie Pemberton
Risk management society RIMS has announced Ms Julie Pemberton as President for the 2016 term. Ms Pemberton is the Director of Enterprise Risk and Insurance Management for Outerwall Inc and has been a member of RIMS for more than 16 years and on its Board for six years.
