The Beema Samiti faced one of its most challenging times over the past one year as a result of the devastating earthquake that hit Nepal in 2015. It rose to the occasion in getting insurers to speed up the claims process and offering them technical support. Dr Fatta Bahadur KC, Chairman, Beema Samiti, speaks to us on the urgent need for regional cooperation among insurers in the South Asian region and lessons learnt from the earthquake.
