Chubb has announced that effective 1 May 2016, the legal entity integration of legacy ACE and Federal operations in Singapore is complete. Its new name is Chubb Insurance Singapore Limited. While in Hong Kong, Chubb has officially changed the name of its life insurance subsidiary from ACE Life to Chubb Life Insurance Company.
Both changes were made following ACE Limited’s acquisition of The Chubb Corporation which was completed on January 14, 2016, creating a global insurance leader operating in 54 countries under the Chubb name. The new company combines Chubb, a venerable US-based insurer with over 130 years of history, and ACE, an insurance global leader. The new Chubb is the world’s largest publicly traded property and casualty insurer.
Mr Greg Dodds, Country President of Chubb in Singapore, said: “I’m pleased with the completion of the integration which marks a significant milestone for us as we commence a new chapter in the Republic. As one of the first countries in Chubb’s global network to undergo full legal entity integration and brand change, we are excited to introduce the new brand to the local market.”
The company also noted that the name change to Chubb will take place at various times for other business operations in the region during the year, subject to local regulatory requirements.
