Insurance Institute of India signed MoU with Financial Regulatory Department of Myanmar

India and Myanmar have signed an MoU on insurance that provides for designing an academic and professional building programme for the insurance industry of Myanmar.The insurance MoU was signed between the Insurance Institute of India and the Financial Regulatory Department of Myanmar, reported local news agencies.
Two other MoUs were signed between the two countries covering cooperation in the power sector and banking supervision.
The signing of the agreements on 19 October followed delegation-level talks headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Myanmar’s State Counsellor and Foreign Minister Aung San Suu Kyi, who was on an official visit to India.
